This is a tough blog for me to write. Sometimes I have a hard time giving advice about certain subjects because certain subjects remain a real struggle for me personally. Forgiveness is one of those subjects.
I struggle to forgive. There are many reasons I believe I struggle to forgive. One classic explanation I give is that I have a photographic memory. I remember almost everything that has happened in my life and because my memory is photographic, my memories play back like a movie. I can play a twenty-year-old memory back in my head like it happened yesterday. This means that memories that cause pain, anger or sadness can feel very fresh even if they are very old. For me, forgiving can be very difficult because forgetting is near impossible.
